Unlike traditional racing seat which has a seat back and a seat bottom, we are looking for any creative designed to help us design a new GT style and a formula style racing seat. When designing the seat, we are looking to reduce the size of the packaging, so from manufacturing stand point, the seat needs to be disassembled into smaller pieces. We contracted a mechanical engineer to design it, but once we sent it for production, the fabricator said that it would be difficult to manufacture and that it looked like it was designed for 3D, not sheet metal bending.
