This project shall become the new basis for the GUI of an existing camera surveillance system. The current GUI is written in perl an we now want to base everything on python cgi-scripts. You of course can have the entire current code to understand which functionality is needed. In detail we expect three cgi scripts. One ist to display an overview of all cameras in live view a second one to display a single camera in life view and a third one to handle the video archive. Parameters are obtained from a and the details of videos and their attached images are available from a postgres database.

We have a CGI Feed which is outputting a html file (still saved as CGI), we need to convert the file to XML, but it needs to be done offline. Use whatever programming language suited for the program but we need to be able to run it via Cron job on a Linux terminal. (This script needs to be run every 15-30 seconds) or any other way which may work.
