I currently use a number of excel spreadsheets to run my Sales Order Processing and am looking for someone to write a program (preferably in Visual Basic .Net) that accesses my SQL database to retrieve and upload data. The standard form is to look like my existing xls sheet and data to be retrieved from database. From here I want to be able to either create invoice from sheet (and update relevant tables), create Purchase Order from sheet (and update relevant tables), print delivery note etc. All of the forms are already done (all be it in excel). I'm not great at writing specifications ... as u can see .. so some hand holding will need to be done, from my point of view. Most of the SQL tables are already created, or can be created, and the data is already available - i just need the engine in between ! No time wasters please !

I have a lot of experience in POS, accounting and retail software. Already have developed a PO system using MS Access as the database. I use a code generator that writes code based on the db design and user requirements. The code generator also produces tooltips, pop-up help and a standard help system. Will anyone else include user documentation? The User Interface is based on the MS Money XP Smart User Interface design .
